Description

Advertisement for Meprospan (meprobamate), manufactured by Wallace Pharmaceuticals. The ad appeared in the journal Medical Economics on January 4, 1971. The ad uses the King of Hearts playing card to make an analogy with the "two faces" of heart disease, both the physiological and emotional aspects. The ad reports that Meprospan provides sustained release as a "silent companion" for patients with anxiety associated with heart disease.
