Description

Parke Davis collectible ink blotter from the 1940s advertising Thrombin. The advertisement states that the product "controls capillary bleeding" and that "solutions of Thrombin, Topical containing 1000 units per cc will clot an equal volume of human blood in less than one second." It is indicated in various types of surgery and is supplied in packages with "ampoules of 5000 Iowa units with a sufficient amount of solvent." There is an image of the product packaging. The date 4/44 is written in the top right.The Parke Davis identifier is bl-111-1.
