Description

Parke Davis collectible ink blotter from the 1940s advertising Elixir Naferon, iron sodium citrate. It is indicated for the treatment of anemia. The advertisement notes that it is neutral in reaction and readily soluble in acid, neutral, or alkaline solutions, and also nonirritating. Elixir Naferon contains 120 grains of iron sodium citrate per fluid ounce; dosage is given. The term "destroyed" is written on the blotter. The Parke-Davis identifier is bl 51-1.
