Description
Photograph appeared in Drug Topics magazine in 1958. The caption reads: "The college's laboratories were the scene of several demonstrations. Here, Miss Rhoda Lipman (right), assistant instructor in biological sciences, explains to a high school student, how viruses are grown in eggs. Interested onlookers are Prof. Michael Iannarone (leftt) and Mr. Pinchak." A poster set titled "Immunity" is on display in the background. Frank Pinchak, a pharmacist practicing in Paterson, NJ, founded the Professional Advancement Plan. This program produced "ethical" poster displays on health education topics that didn't promote manufacturer products. Retail pharmacists around the country could obtain these poster sets for their pharmacy windows. By subscribing to Pinchak's program, pharmacies would receive a new poster set every two months.
