The American Institute of the History of Pharmacy (AIHP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. AIHP's mission is: Advancing knowledge and understanding of the history of pharmacy and medicines. Founded in 1941, AIHP is a partner of the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy. 

Most of the images and artifacts in this exhibit are drawn from the historical and archival collections of AIHP and the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy. Please read more about AIHP/UW–SOP historical collections.

AIHP publishes the academic journal History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Press.
